Diagnosis
Your concern is valid. While many blender blades are hand-wash only, the Consciot 11 Piece Blender's metal cutting components are specifically designed to withstand dishwasher cycles.
How to Fix It
For safe dishwasher cleaning:
- Place the sharp blade and disc on the top rack only. The bottom rack's intense heat from the heating element can damage the temper of the steel over time.
- Position the main work bowl upside down to ensure it drains completely and to protect the drive socket from pooling water or detergent.
- Keep the lid, pusher, and any other plastic parts on the top rack as well.
- During unloading, handle the sharp parts with care. It's best to remove them first before reaching for other items to avoid accidental contact.
If That Didn't Work
If you prefer hand-washing or notice any corrosion, wash the blade and disc inside the assembled work bowl. Add warm, soapy water, then hold the blade firmly by its central plastic hub (never by the sharp edges) and move it up and down to clean. Rinse thoroughly while still in the bowl. Never leave blades soaking loose in a sink—this is a major safety hazard and can dull the edges.
Heads Up
Always ensure the blade and disc are completely dry before storage to prevent rust or water spots. Check for manufacturer labels or warnings on the components themselves; if any part is marked "Hand Wash Only," do not dishwasher-clean it.
