the blender jar keeps leaking from the bottom when i make smoothies. how do i fix that?

Diagnosis

Leaks from the bottom of the Consciot blender jar during use are almost always caused by improper assembly of the blade and gasket components, allowing liquid to seep past the seal. A loose locking ring is the primary culprit.

How to Fix It

1. Disassemble the jar completely: unscrew the locking ring and remove the blade assembly.
2. Inspect the rubber gasket (a black or clear ring). Ensure it is not cracked, warped, or has food debris stuck to it. Clean it thoroughly.
3. Re-seat the gasket onto the blade assembly base. It must fit perfectly into the groove.
4. Place the locking ring over the blade assembly and hand-tighten it onto the jar base. It must be tightened very firmly by hand—this is critical. Do not use tools, but ensure it cannot be tightened further by hand.
5. Before placing the jar on the motor base, ensure the fully assembled jar is upright. Align the jar so the handle is to your left and the measurement markings face you for proper alignment with the base tabs.

If That Didn't Work

If it still leaks, the gasket may be damaged and require replacement (contact Consciot for the part). Alternatively, check for a hairline crack in the plastic of the jar base near the blade assembly. Finally, ensure you are not overfilling the jar beyond the "MAX" line, as excess pressure can force liquid past even a good seal.

Heads Up

Always assemble the jar with the blade assembly *off* the motor base. Never run the blender if it's leaking, as liquid entering the base can cause a short circuit or motor failure.
