just got an epson et-2800, how do i even fill the ink tanks without making a huge mess?

You use the included EcoFit ink bottles. They're designed for clean filling.

Here's how you do it:

1. Locate the four individual ink tanks on the printer (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black).
2. Take the corresponding 65 mL bottle (522 Black, or 522 Cyan, Magenta, Yellow).
3. The bottles have a special nozzle. Simply insert it into the matching tank's fill port and press down gently. The bottle will only fit the correct tank.
4. The ink will flow in automatically until the tank is full. It stops on its own, so you can't overfill.

If that didn't work:

• Make sure you're using genuine Epson 522 series ink bottles. Others won't fit or work correctly.
• Check that the printer is on a stable, level surface during filling.

Heads up: Part of the ink from the initial bottles is used for printer setup, so your first yields will be slightly lower than the rated 4,500 pages black or 7,500 pages color.
