Diagnosis
The evaporator coil is likely frozen solid. This happens when you run it in a room that's too cold (below 65°F/18°C) or if the air filter is clogged, restricting airflow.
How to Fix It
Turn the unit off and unplug it. Let it thaw completely for 8-12 hours with the bucket removed. Check and clean the rear air filter with warm water, let it dry fully. Plug it back in and restart in a room above 65°F.
If That Didn't Work
The refrigerant may have leaked out due to a manufacturing fault, making it incapable of cooling. This requires professional repair; contact Ivation for warranty service.
Heads Up
Running it in a cold basement or garage will cause this freeze-up repeatedly. For cold spaces, you need a desiccant-type dehumidifier, not this compressor-based model.
