the bucket full light comes on when the bucket is completely empty, so it stops running for no reason.

Quick answer: The float sensor in the bucket compartment is stuck in the "up" position, usually due to dirt, debris, or a misaligned bucket.

Diagnosis

The float sensor in the bucket compartment is stuck in the "up" position, usually due to dirt, debris, or a misaligned bucket.

How to Fix It

Unplug the unit. Remove the empty bucket. Locate the small, clear plastic float switch on the side wall inside the bucket compartment. Gently move it up and down with your finger to ensure it moves freely. Use a cotton swab dampened with vinegar to clean around its shaft.

If That Didn't Work

The float sensor mechanism might be physically broken or the magnetic reed switch inside has failed. This requires a replacement float assembly from Ivation support.

Heads Up

Always seat the bucket perfectly straight when you push it in. Forcing it or having it crooked can jam the float and cause this false full reading.
