Diagnosis
Solid amber means it's stuck in a boot loop or firmware update failure. The most common cause is a corrupted firmware file during an over-the-air update.
How to Fix It
Force a manual firmware restore via USB.
- Download the Arlo firmware restore tool for the Go 2 from Arlo's official support site to a computer.
- Power off the camera, connect it to the computer with a USB-C cable.
- Run the restore tool and follow its prompts to reflash the firmware.
- Disconnect, then power the camera on normally with the battery or power adapter.
If That Didn't Work
The internal battery might be so deeply drained it can't boot. Leave it plugged into the official power adapter (not just USB) for a full 24 hours, then try the power button again.
Heads Up
After a firmware restore, you'll need to remove the old device from your Arlo app and set it up again as a new camera.
