DIAGNOSIS The display shows "---" when the door latch or door switch has failed. This is a safety interlock error.
FIX First, power cycle the unit. Turn off the circuit breaker for one minute. Restore power. If "---" persists, the door latch assembly is faulty. Remove the inner door panel to inspect the microswitch on the latch. Test for continuity. Replace the entire door latch assembly (part number 00611913 is common).
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The main control board may have a fault. Check for any visible damage or burnt components on the board. A board replacement is the next step.
HEADS UP The door latch assembly includes the striker. Ensure the new striker aligns perfectly with the door catch.
