Diagnosis
The red X icon indicates a charging error. The most common cause is corrosion or debris on the charging contacts preventing a proper connection.
How to Fix It
1. Unplug the charging base. 2. Use a dry cotton swab to scrub both metal contacts on the bottom of the brush handle. 3. Scrub the two corresponding metal pins on the charging base. 4. Ensure the handle is seated fully on the base. The charging ring light will illuminate white when successful.
If That Didn't Work
The battery may be fully depleted. Leave the brush on the charger for a full 24 hours. If the red X persists, the internal battery has likely failed and requires replacement.
Heads Up
Never use water or liquid cleaners on the charging contacts, as this accelerates corrosion. Keep the base and handle bottom completely dry.
