my dream cooker just shows the logo on the touchscreen and never goes to the main menu, it's frozen on startup.

DIAGNOSIS: This is a boot loop or software hang. It's usually a glitch with the initial firmware load, not a hardware failure.

FIX: Unplug the cooker from the wall outlet. Wait a full 60 seconds—seriously, time it. This lets the internal capacitors fully discharge and resets the main board. Plug it back in. If it boots normally, you're good. If it's still stuck, press and hold the Start/Stop button and the Pressure button on the touchscreen simultaneously for about 10 seconds while it's powered on. This can force a hard reset.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: The last resort is a firmware reflash. You'll need to contact Our Place support directly. They can guide you through connecting it to the app (if your phone can still see it via Bluetooth) to push a firmware update, which often clears persistent boot errors.

HEADS UP: Don't try to open the base. There's no user-serviceable reset button inside, and you'll void the warranty. If the hard reset fails, support is your next step.
