my dyson v8 absolute just completely died and won't turn on at all, no lights, nothing. is it broken?

Most likely a dead battery or a charging fault. Check the battery LED while the machine is on the charger.

1. Connect the machine to the charger or dock. The battery LED should flash blue while charging.
2. If the LED flashes blue and then turns off, the battery is fully charged. A full charge takes about 4 hours.
3. If there's no light at all while charging, you have a battery fault or a charger issue.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: The machine won't operate if the ambient temperature is below 5°C (41°F). Bring it to a warmer room and try again. If it's still dead, the battery may need to be replaced.

HEADS UP: For battery life, only use Boost mode when you need it. Returning the machine to the dock after use helps maintain charge.
