The printer's Wi-Fi isn't enabled or the signal is too weak. Use Wi-Fi Direct as a backup.

  • Check the printer's LCD. If it shows no Wi-Fi signal, you need to re-run the network setup from the Epson Smart Panel App.
  • Move the printer closer to your router. The range is limited to what your router provides.
  • If standard Wi-Fi fails, use Wi-Fi Direct. This creates a direct connection between the printer and your device. You'll likely need to install printer software for this to work.

If that didn't work: Your router might be using a network band or security protocol the ET-2800 can't handle. It only supports Wi-Fi 4 (802.11 b/g/n). Try temporarily disabling any advanced security features on your router during setup.

Heads up: For features like Epson Connect or voice-activated printing, the printer needs a stable Internet connection, not just a local Wi-Fi link to your computer. Ensure it's properly connected to your home network.
