Incorrect paper type setting is the most common cause. The printer supports specific photo papers: Premium Photo Glossy, Premium Photo Paper Glossy, Photo Paper Glossy, and Premium Photo Paper Semi-Gloss.
- Confirm you are using a supported paper. The max weight for Premium Glossy Photo is 102–300 g/m².
- In your print settings (on your computer or in the Epson iPrint/Smart Panel app), explicitly select the exact paper type you are using.
- Ensure you are loading the paper with the correct printable side facing down.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: The printer's print head may be misaligned or clogged. Run the head cleaning utility from the printer software on your computer. Also, Epson strongly recommends using only genuine Epson ink to ensure optimal print quality.
HEADS UP: For best photo results, use the dedicated photo paper settings. The printer's maximum print resolution is 5760 x 1440 dpi, which is capable of sharp photos when configured correctly.
