my eufy robot vacuum won't go back to its charging dock, just wanders around

— asked by Sarah

First, clear the landing zone. The Charging Base needs a clear approach path.

  • Remove all objects within 3 feet (1 meter) to the left and right of the Charging Base, and within 6 feet (2 meters) in front of it.
  • Ensure the Charging Base is on a hard, level surface, placed against a wall. Not on a rug.
  • Dust off the charging contact pins on both the RoboVac and the base with a dry cloth.
  • Manually place the RoboVac near the base. It should dock. Listen for a confirmation beep.

If that didn't work: If the RoboVac is very far away, it can take a long time to find its way back. Be patient. If there's no beep when docked, or the base's light is off, the base or robot's charging pins may be faulty and require service.

Prevention: Always keep the Charging Base plugged in. Clean the charging pins monthly.
