Most likely cause is the fuel tank vent lever is in the OFF position, starving the engine.
- Check the fuel filler cap. Flip the vent lever to the ON position.
- Ensure the engine switch is in the ON position.
- For a cold start, move the choke lever fully to the CLOSED position.
- Pull the starter grip briskly. Do not let it snap back.
If that didn't work, the Oil Alert system may have shut down the engine. The red Oil Alert indicator will be on. Check the engine oil level and top it up to the proper level before trying to start again.
Heads up: Always perform pre-op checks. Look for fuel leaks, check oil level, and ensure the air filter is clean.
