my hp laserjet pro m234dwe won't connect to wifi, keeps blinking

— asked by Jamie

The wireless light blinking means it's in setup mode, not connected. Most likely, the network settings need a hard reset.

  1. Press and hold the Information button for 3 seconds, then release it. All the buttons will light up.
  2. Now press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button together. The printer will restart. When the Status light pulses purple or the Wireless button blinks blue, it's in wireless setup mode.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: Your router's WPS setup might have timed out. On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button for at least 3 seconds to start WPS. You have 2 minutes to press the WPS button on your router. The Wireless light will stop blinking and stay lit when connected.

HEADS UP: After resetting, you must use the HP Smart app to reconnect. Go to 123.hp.com to get it.
