To resolve the automatic shut-off issue and ensure the sensor registers your cup, follow these precise steps:

2. Select a standard 10 oz or 12 oz opaque ceramic mug. Avoid clear glass or translucent plastic, as the sensor often cannot detect these materials.
3. Slide the drip tray assembly completely out of the machine. Ensure the tray is not warped and that the removable drip tray plate (the flat piece the cup sits on) is snapped firmly into place.
4. Wipe the underside of the plate and the area where it connects to the base with a damp, lint-free cloth to remove any coffee residue that might be blocking the sensor contact.
