Diagnosis
The E1 error is a water level or water supply fault. The machine isn't detecting enough water in the tank to start the ice-making cycle.
How to Fix It
Check the water level first. Ensure the reservoir is filled to the MAX line with cold water. If it is, the issue is likely the internal water pump or its inlet. Power the unit off, unplug it, and remove the water reservoir. Check the small intake hole at the bottom of the reservoir slot for any debris or mineral buildup and clear it. Plug it back in and restart.
If That Didn't Work
The float sensor inside the tank slot might be stuck. Gently press down and release the small plastic float (usually a white or blue piece) you can see inside the empty tank slot to ensure it moves freely.
Heads Up
Using very warm or hot water can trigger sensor errors. Always use cold tap water for both performance and to prevent this code.
