my levoit air purifier randomly shuts off after running for a while, then i have to turn it back on. what gives?

It's either overheating, tilting, or has a faulty connection.

  1. Ensure it has at least 15 inches of clearance on all sides. Blocked air inlets cause overheating.
  2. Check that the filter is installed correctly with all plastic removed. A wrapped filter makes it overheat.
  3. Make sure it's on a flat, stable surface. If it tilts more than 45 degrees, it has an auto-shutoff.
  4. Plug it directly into a wall outlet, not a power strip or dimmer switch.

If that didn't work, the power adapter might be failing or the unit is malfunctioning. Contact support.

Heads up: Never use it on a soft surface like a bed or rug, and keep it away from heat sources.
