DIAGNOSIS The E1 code is a room temperature sensor error. The unit cannot read ambient temperature, so it cannot operate correctly.
FIX Power cycle the unit. Unplug it from the wall for 5 full minutes. Plug it back in. The code should clear if it was a transient error. If the E1 returns immediately, the sensor or its connection is faulty.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Internal sensor failure requires service. Contact Midea support. Do not attempt to disassemble the unit to access the sensor board.
