Diagnosis
This is typically a signal synchronization issue, often related to the refresh rate, adaptive sync, or a faulty/damaged cable.
How to Fix It
First, replace your HDMI or DisplayPort cable. Use a certified high-speed cable rated for 4K/60Hz or higher, even though this is a 1080p monitor. Second, disable Adaptive Sync/FreeSync. Press the monitor menu button, go to 'Game Settings', and set 'FreeSync' to 'Off'. Third, in Windows graphics settings, set a fixed refresh rate of 100Hz or 60Hz.
If That Didn't Work
The issue may be GPU driver related. Perform a clean installation of your graphics drivers. Use Display Driver Uninstaller in Safe Mode, then install the latest stable driver from AMD or NVIDIA.
Heads Up
If the screen goes black and does not return, requiring a power cycle, this indicates a more serious hardware fault. Document the frequency and contact Sceptre support if under warranty.
