Diagnosis
Incorrect ClearType settings in Windows or a suboptimal sharpness setting on the monitor itself. The monitor's default sharpness can cause halo effects on text.
How to Fix It
First, calibrate Windows ClearType. Search for 'Adjust ClearType text' in Windows, run the wizard, and select the text boxes that appear clearest. Second, adjust the monitor's sharpness. Press the menu button, go to 'Picture', find 'Sharpness', and set it to 50. Values above 60 introduce artificial edge enhancement that causes fuzziness.
If That Didn't Work
Check the monitor's 'Response Time' setting. Navigate to Menu > Game Settings > Response Time. Set it to 'Normal' or 'Off'. The 'Fast' or 'Fastest' settings can cause pixel overshoot, manifesting as faint trails or blur.
Heads Up
This is a 27-inch 1080p monitor. The pixel density is relatively low (81 PPI). Text will never appear as crisp as on a higher-resolution or smaller screen. This is a limitation of the physical hardware.
