Diagnosis
The Ninja DualBrew Pro is designed with a configurable reservoir that can be moved to different positions to fit your counter space. If the reservoir feels wobbly or unstable, it is likely not fully seated on its mounting base or the locking latch is not engaged. While there is a slight amount of "give" in the plastic, a noticeable wobble usually indicates that the reservoir is resting on the edge of the base rather than being locked into the docking mechanism.
How to Fix It
To stabilize the reservoir, follow these steps to ensure a secure connection:
- Remove the Reservoir: Lift the water tank completely off the machine to reset the connection.
- Verify Latch Position: Check the Configurable Water Reservoir Latch on the back of the unit. Ensure it is snapped firmly into its designated slot and isn't skewed.
- Align the Hooks: Depending on your chosen configuration (side or back), align the reservoir's mounting hooks with the corresponding slots on the brewer's chassis.
- Firmly Seat the Tank: Lower the reservoir straight down into the base. Apply firm, downward pressure until you feel or hear it click into place. The tank should feel snug against the machine, not floating or tilting.
If That Didn't Work
If the tank continues to wobble after a firm reset, inspect the following:
- Check for Debris: Ensure no coffee grounds or hard water scale have accumulated in the base, preventing the tank from sitting flush.
- Inspect for Stress Fractures: Examine the plastic tabs on the bottom of the reservoir and the locking latch on the machine. If any plastic clips are snapped or warped, the unit cannot lock securely.
- Contact Support: If the hardware is damaged, contact Ninja Customer Service at 1-877-646-5288 to order a replacement reservoir or latch assembly.
Heads Up
An unstable reservoir can prevent the valve from sealing correctly, leading to leaks on your countertop or triggering a false "Add Wtr" error message because the machine cannot detect the water level.
