DIAGNOSIS Incomplete freezing cycle. The ice is being harvested from the evaporator plate too early, before it has fully thickened.
FIX This is an ambient temperature issue. Confirm the room is between 50°F and 77°F (10°C - 25°C). Place the unit away from direct sunlight, ovens, or heating vents. Allow the machine to run uninterrupted for 2-3 full cycles to stabilize its internal temperature.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The unit's thermostat sensor may be faulty, misreading the evaporator temperature. Unplug the machine for 30 minutes to perform a full system reset. This often recalibrates the sensor.
HEADS UP Using water below 41°F (5°C) in the reservoir can also cause this. Always use room temperature water for optimal operation.
