my reolink argus 3 pro just shows a solid blue light and won't connect to wifi during setup, what am i doing wrong?

— asked by Sam

DIAGNOSIS The solid blue light means the camera is in pairing mode but not connecting. This is almost always a 2.4GHz/5GHz network issue.

FIX Confirm your phone is on the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi band. Disable the 5GHz band on your router temporarily. Ensure the Wi-Fi password has no special characters. Hold the camera close to the router during setup. Restart the camera by removing the battery for 30 seconds and trying again.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Your router might have a setting like AP isolation or client isolation enabled. This prevents devices on the same network from communicating. Log into your router and disable this feature for the camera.

HEADS UP The camera cannot connect to a Wi-Fi network that requires a secondary login portal, like in some apartments or hotels. It needs a standard home network.
