my vitamix e310 circuit breaker in my kitchen keeps tripping when i use it. is the blender faulty?

— asked by Riley

First, check your kitchen's GFCI outlets. If the blender won't operate, unplug it. Reset the wall outlet or circuit breaker.

If the breaker continues to trip:

  • Unplug the blender from the outlet.
  • Let the blender sit unused for 24 hours.
  • After 24 hours, plug it directly into a different, grounded outlet (not using an extension cord or adapter) and try again.

If the problem persists, contact Vitamix Customer Service. Do not use the blender if it repeatedly trips breakers.

Critical electrical rules: Use a grounded outlet only. Do not use an extension cord. Do not use an adapter to remove the ground. Do not supply power through an external timer or regularly switched circuit.
