my vitamix e310 keeps stopping after like a minute when i'm making almond butter, it's so annoying.

Yeah, this one's common. The motor's overheating protection is kicking in because you're pushing it too hard. For nut butters or oil-based foods, you shouldn't process for more than one minute after the mixture starts circulating in the container. Going longer causes overheating.

Here's the fix:

  1. Let the motor cool down for 20-45 minutes. It's designed to protect itself.
  2. Next time, keep an eye on the clock. The moment the butter starts flowing smoothly, you've got about 60 seconds max.
  3. Use the tamper to keep things moving, but don't use it for more than 30 consecutive seconds to avoid adding more heat.

If it's still stopping quickly, you might be overloading it. For thick mixtures, don't fill the container more than two-thirds full when using the tamper. And stick to recommended speeds and times from Vitamix recipes while you're learning.
