DIAGNOSIS: You're either using the wrong tamper for your container, the lid isn't secured, or you're forcing it at the wrong angle.
FIX: Follow these steps to use the tamper safely.
- First, verify you have the correct tamper. It must be the one supplied with your specific 48 oz. or 32 oz. container. Lids and tampers are not interchangeable.
- Always operate with the main part of the lid securely locked in place. The splash disk on the tamper and the lid work together to prevent contact with the blades.
- Only insert the tamper after removing the lid plug.
- Don't hold it straight down if ingredients aren't circulating. Point it towards the sides or corners of the container. Do not force it deeper.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: Your container should not be more than two-thirds full when using the tamper. Also, do not use the tamper for more than 30 consecutive seconds to prevent overheating.
