Yeah, some vibration is normal, but a sudden increase usually points to an unbalanced load or a loose component. First, check what you've got plugged in.
- Make sure the generator is on a firm, level surface. An uneven setup amplifies vibration.
- Check that all connected devices have stable power draws. A single device with a motor cycling on and off (like a fridge) can cause surging.
- Ensure you're not overloading it. The rated continuous wattage is 1600W. Exceeding that stresses the engine.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: Internal issues can cause excess shake. Check that the mounting bolts for the engine and frame are tight. A loose recoil starter assembly or side panel can also rattle. If you've recently transported it, something may have worked loose.
HEADS UP: If the vibration is severe and accompanied by strange noises or performance loss, shut it down. Continuing to run it could cause internal damage. For persistent mechanical vibration, contact WEN customer service at (800) 232-1195.
