The monitor's color profile was likely altered when it was moved, either by accidentally pressing the front control buttons or due to a jarring impact. The most common culprits on the BenQ EW3270U are the "Low Blue Light Plus" and "Color Weakness" accessibility features being enabled, which apply strong yellow or red filters. Alternatively, the "Picture Mode" may have switched from your preferred setting.
How to Fix It
Use the monitor's physical control buttons to navigate the On-Screen Display (OSD) menu.
- Press the button to open the main OSD menu.
- Navigate to the Picture menu.
- First, select Low Blue Light and ensure it is set to Off.
- Return to the Picture menu, select Color Weakness, and set it to Off.
- Finally, go to Picture Mode and select Standard or sRGB for accurate, neutral colors.
If That Didn't Work
Perform a deeper reset of the monitor's color settings.
- Open the OSD and go to Picture > Reset Color. Confirm the reset.
- If the issue persists, perform a full factory reset. Go to System > Reset All (this will reset all settings, not just picture).
- Check your computer's display settings (Windows Display Settings or macOS System Preferences > Displays) to ensure the correct color profile is selected and HDR is not enabled unintentionally, as this can cause color shifts.
- Try a different video cable (DisplayPort or HDMI) and a different port on your computer to rule out a connection issue.
Heads Up
The control buttons on the front-bottom bezel of the EW3270U are sensitive. When moving the monitor, it's very easy to press them against packaging or a desk, changing settings. Always verify your OSD settings after physically relocating the monitor.
