DIAGNOSIS Sticky liquids (smoothie, syrup, etc.) have seeped under the rubberized button membrane and dried, gluing it down.
FIX Clean the control panel without letting moisture inside the electronics.
- Unplug the blender.
- Dampen a cloth with a mild soapy water solution or isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol). Wring it out so it's damp, not wet.
- Wipe the button area thoroughly, working the solution into the seams around each button.
- Press each button repeatedly while cleaning to work the cleaning fluid underneath.
- Use a dry cloth or cotton swab to absorb any moisture and dry the area completely.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If the buttons are physically damaged or the membrane is torn from prying, the control panel is not user-serviceable. The entire motor base would need to be replaced.
HEADS UP Never submerge the motor base or run it under water. Clean spills on the control panel immediately before they dry and harden.
