DIAGNOSIS The motor is overheating. This is caused by either excessive load (blending too long or too-thick contents) or a failing motor where internal components are burning.
FIX Stop use immediately and address overload habits.
- Unplug the blender and let it cool completely.
- For future use: Never run the blender continuously for more than one minute. Use the pulse function for tough tasks.
- Ensure you add sufficient liquid. The blades must be covered to create a vortex and avoid a stagnant, jammed mass.
- Clean any debris from the vent slots on the bottom or sides of the motor base to improve airflow.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If the smell returns immediately on the next brief, normal use (like blending water), the motor insulation or wiring is degrading. This is a critical failure. Do not use the appliance again. It is a fire hazard.
HEADS UP The burning smell is a serious warning. Ignoring it can lead to complete motor seizure, electrical short, or fire.
