the continuous drain hose setup isn't working, water is still filling up the bucket instead of draining out

— asked by Riley

DIAGNOSIS Incorrect hose installation or a blockage in the drain path. The internal drain port must be opened and the hose must have a downward slope.

FIX Ensure the drain plug on the back of the unit is fully removed. Insert the hose firmly into the drain port. The hose must run straight down from the port with no kinks or upward loops. The end of the hose must be lower than the drain port.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Check for an internal clog. Use a small funnel to pour a cup of warm water into the drain port from the outside. If it drains slowly or backs up, mineral deposits are blocking the internal channel.

HEADS UP The bucket must be in place and clicked into position for the drain to function. The unit's float switch will stop operation if the bucket is removed, even with the hose connected.
