You need to adjust the copy density and contrast settings. This is done directly from the printer's control panel when initiating a copy.
- Place your original on the scanner glass.
- On the LCD, select Copy mode.
- Before starting, look for 'Copy Adjustments' or 'Settings'. The available adjustments are: Density, Contrast, Color, Sharpness, and Text Enhancement.
- Select 'Density' and reduce it. Select 'Contrast' and adjust as needed.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: The issue may be the original itself or the scanner glass. Clean the scanner glass thoroughly. Also, try changing the 'Copy Mode' from 'High' to 'Standard'. The copy resolution is 300 x 720 dpi, so high mode may over-saturate a dark original.
HEADS UP: You can copy in color or black/white, and reduce/enlarge from 25% to 400%. Experiment with the 'Text Enhancement' setting if copying text documents.
