the fan runs but my ffad2233w1 isn't pulling any water out of the air, it's been running for days dry

— asked by Taylor

DIAGNOSIS The compressor isn't kicking on. This is usually due to a room temperature outside the unit's operational range or a refrigerant issue.

FIX Check the ambient temperature. This model only activates its compressor between approximately 65°F and 90°F. If the room is colder than 65°, it will only run the fan.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If the room is well within the temperature range, the unit may have lost its refrigerant charge due to a leak. This requires professional repair; contact Frigidaire support.

HEADS UP Never tip the unit on its side or upside down. If you've recently moved it, let it sit upright for 24 hours before expecting it to work, as oil may have migrated in the compressor.
