Diagnosis
Cold air from the freezer isn't making it to the fridge compartment. The most common cause is the air duct between the two sections is blocked by frost or food items. This model has a damper that controls that airflow.
How to Fix It
First, check for simple blockages. 1) Look at the vents inside the fridge, usually on the back wall near the top. Make sure no food packages or containers are pressed against them. 2) Next, check the freezer side. Remove items blocking the vent where cold air comes *from* (often on the back wall or divider). If the vents are clear, the damper mechanism itself might be frozen or stuck.
If That Didn't Work
If airflow seems blocked, you might have a failing defrost system. If the evaporator coil in the freezer ices over completely, it blocks that air duct. You'd likely also see excessive frost in the freezer. This points to a bad defrost heater, thermostat, or board—a more involved repair.
Heads Up
Don't just crank the fridge temperature colder. If the damper is blocked or frozen, it won't help and could cause your freezer to overwork. Move perishables to the freezer temporarily while you troubleshoot.
