the ice full sensor is broken, the light comes on when the basket is only half full and it stops making ice.

DIAGNOSIS The infrared sensor eye in the ice chute is obstructed or misaligned. Frost, water droplets, or a stray ice chip can trigger a false "full" signal.

FIX 1) Unplug the unit. 2) Empty the ice basket. 3) Use a dry cotton swab to gently clean the small plastic sensor window located inside the upper ice chute. 4) Use a hair dryer on cool setting to blow air into the chute for 30 seconds to remove moisture. Plug back in.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The ice basket itself may not be seated correctly. Ensure it is pushed fully back and is level. The sensor aligns with a specific point on the basket. Try removing and reinserting the basket firmly.

HEADS UP Piling ice too high directly under the chute can cause a false reading. For consistent operation, keep the ice level below the raised ridge inside the basket. The sensor detects vertical height, not weight.
