DIAGNOSIS: The ice maker's internal thermostat or the water inlet valve for the ice maker has failed. No water is entering the mold to freeze.
FIX: First, check if water comes out of the dispenser. If not, see the water filter/dribble fix. If the dispenser works, listen for a buzz when the ice maker should cycle. No buzz means the inlet valve isn't opening—it needs replacement.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: The ice maker unit itself has a faulty motor or sensor. Manually test it by lifting the metal feeler arm to initiate a cycle (consult for the exact test sequence). If nothing happens, replace the ice maker assembly.
HEADS UP: The ice maker has a built-in shutoff if the bucket is full. Make sure the bucket is seated correctly and the 'full' arm isn't stuck in the up position. Also, a frozen water line in the door is common in humid environments.
