the smart features on my lg fridge won't connect to wifi anymore, it was working fine before

DIAGNOSIS: A router software update or change in your network settings (like switching to WPA3) has broken the handshake. This model's Wi-Fi module can be finicky with modern networks.

FIX: Perform a factory reset on the fridge's Wi-Fi module. Go to Settings > Network > Wi-Fi Setup and select "Initialize Network." Then reconnect from scratch as if it were new.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: Temporarily create a separate 2.4 GHz guest network on your router (with a simple password, no special characters) and connect the fridge to that. Many dual-band routers cause issues.

HEADS UP: The Wi-Fi module in these fridges only works on 2.4 GHz bands. If your router automatically bands steers devices, or you've disabled 2.4 GHz, the fridge can't connect. Ensure 2.4 GHz is active.
