the keep warm function on my duo nova seems too hot and burns the bottom of my food.

— asked by Taylor

DIAGNOSIS The Keep Warm function maintains a temperature between 145°F and 172°F. For foods with low liquid content (e.g., thick stews, chili), this can cause scorching at the bottom over extended periods.

FIX 1. After cooking, do not let the pot automatically switch to Keep Warm. 2. Press Cancel immediately when the timer ends. 3. Perform a Quick Release to stop all heating. 4. Open the lid and stir the contents. 5. Serve or transfer food to a different container for storage.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If you must use Keep Warm, ensure there is ample liquid in the dish. Add a quarter to a half cup of water or broth and stir thoroughly before activating Keep Warm.

HEADS UP The Keep Warm default duration is 10 hours. For most dishes, especially those prone to sticking, 1-2 hours is the practical maximum. The unit will not automatically shut off after 10 hours; it will continue to cycle heat.
