Diagnosis
A 4-time red blink is a hardware error code indicating a problem with the TV's main board or power supply, often triggered by a failed component or short circuit.
How to Fix It
Unplug the TV from the wall outlet for a full 5 minutes. While unplugged, press and hold the physical power button on the TV itself for 30 seconds to discharge any residual power. Plug it back in and try to turn it on. This can reset the protection circuit.
If That Didn't Work
The issue is internal and requires service. The consistent 4-blink code means a forced reset didn't clear it. You need to contact Sony support for warranty repair—do not attempt to open the TV yourself.
