Quick answer: Sensor Cook uses a humidity sensor. Grease or debris on the sensor vents, or incorrect container type, causes faulty readings.

Diagnosis

Sensor Cook uses a humidity sensor. Grease or debris on the sensor vents, or incorrect container type, causes faulty readings.

How to Fix It

Clean the sensor vents. They are located on the right side wall inside the cavity. Use a mild detergent and soft cloth. Wipe dry. Always use a microwave-safe container that is wider than it is tall. Cover food with a lid or vented plastic wrap to trap steam.

If That Didn't Work

The sensor itself may be faulty. Run a diagnostic test: Press and hold the CLOCK button for 5 seconds. The display will show test codes. Code 'H3' indicates a sensor fault.

Heads Up

Do not use the Sensor Reheat function for frozen foods or liquids. It is calibrated for room-temperature items only.
