Diagnosis
The internal temperature sensor is being heated by the camera's own electronics. It's a design flaw—if the camera is plugged in and running hot, or in a sealed space, it reads high.
How to Fix It
Unplug the camera and let it run on battery for an hour. The temperature reading should gradually fall to something more accurate as it cools down. The most reliable readings come when it's running on battery power, not constantly plugged in.
If That Didn't Work
The sensor might just need recalibrating. There's no user button for this, but a full reset can sometimes clear a stuck sensor. Hold the sync button for 15 seconds to perform a factory reset, then set the camera back up.
Heads Up
Don't rely on this as a primary room thermometer. It's best used for tracking relative changes ("is it getting hotter?") rather than getting a precise, absolute temperature. Place the camera away from direct sunlight or heating vents for a slightly better reading.
