the timer dial feels loose and sometimes skips numbers or doesn't set the time i want, is it broken?

DIAGNOSIS The mechanical timer knob is likely slightly misaligned on its shaft or has worn internal detents. It's a common point of failure on dial-based models.

FIX Unplug the unit. Gently pull the timer knob straight off its post. Realign it so that the 'OFF' position on the knob matches the 'OFF' mark on the panel, then press it firmly back onto the shaft. Test by turning slowly through the range.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If realignment doesn't fix the skipping, the timer mechanism itself is faulty. You cannot repair this yourself. The unit needs a timer replacement. Contact KMFurnila support; this is often covered under warranty.

HEADS UP Do not continue using a malfunctioning timer. If it randomly resets or stops, it could leave the heating element on indefinitely, creating a serious overheating and fire hazard.
