Diagnosis
The most common cause of erratic touchscreen behavior on the Emeril 360 Plus is moisture, cooking grease, or condensation that has seeped into the edges of the capacitive touch panel, disrupting its electrical field. Less commonly, it can be caused by a delaminating touch membrane or a failing main control board.
How to Fix It
- Unplug the appliance and let it cool completely.
- Wipe the entire screen and front panel with a dry, lint-free microfiber cloth to remove surface oils.
- Dampen a corner of a new microfiber cloth with 90%+ isopropyl alcohol and thoroughly clean the touchscreen surface, paying extra attention to the perimeter where grease accumulates.
- Use the dry part of the cloth to immediately buff the area completely dry. Ensure no liquid remains in the seams around the screen.
- Let the unit sit unplugged for at least an hour to allow any internal moisture to evaporate before plugging it back in for a test.
If That Didn't Work
If cleaning doesn't resolve the phantom touches, the touch panel itself is likely damaged. For this model, the touchscreen is integrated into the front control panel assembly. This part must be replaced as a unit. Contact the manufacturer's customer support (for warranty service) or a small appliance repair shop. As a last resort, a hard reset can be attempted by unplugging the unit for 30 minutes, though this rarely fixes a physical fault.

Never spray cleaner directly onto the screen, and avoid glass cleaners or abrasive cloths, as they will permanently damage the screen's sensitive coating. Always ensure the unit is unplugged during cleaning to prevent electrical short or shock hazard.
