Diagnosis
The infrared (IR) night vision is activating alongside the white floodlights, causing sensor conflict and poor image quality.
How to Fix It
Force the camera to use color night vision only. 1) In the Eufy Security app, go to Device Settings > Night Vision. 2) Change ‘Vision Mode’ from ‘Auto’ to ‘Color Night Vision’. 3) Ensure the floodlight schedule is set to ‘Auto’ or ‘On’ during night hours. The white lights will provide enough illumination for the sensor without needing the grainy IR.
If That Didn't Work
The lenses are likely dirty (see cleaning fix above), or the floodlights aren’t pointing correctly. Manually adjust the light heads to illuminate the specific area you want to monitor. The camera needs light on the subject, not just ambient glow.
Heads Up
In ‘Color Night Vision’ mode, the image will be black and white if the floodlights are off. You must have the lights scheduled to turn on via motion or on a timer for this to work. It’s a trade-off: color video requires active light.
