Diagnosis
The generator's Eco Mode (or 'Smart Idle') is reacting too slowly to the sudden load demand from the compressor start.
How to Fix It
Disable Eco Mode for motor loads.
1. While the generator is running, press the Eco Mode button on the control panel.
2. The green Eco light should turn off, indicating the engine is now running at constant speed.
3. Plug in your refrigerator. The initial surge should now be handled without the bogging hesitation.
4. Remember to turn Eco Mode back on for light, steady loads to save fuel.
If That Didn't Work
If the problem persists in normal mode, the carburetor may need cleaning. Old fuel can cause a sluggish throttle response.
Heads Up
This is normal inverter generator behavior with Eco Mode on. It's prioritizing fuel savings over instant response.
