The E3 error code on your Cosori Pro LE Air Fryer L501 indicates the internal overheat protection system has been triggered. This safety feature shuts down the appliance when the internal temperature sensor detects excessive heat, preventing potential damage or fire risk.
How to Fix It
Follow these steps to reset the safety circuit:
- Immediately press the power button to turn the unit off, then unplug it from the electrical outlet.
- Carefully remove the basket and pan, allowing the heating element and interior chamber to cool. Do not touch the metal surfaces until fully cooled.
- Let the air fryer sit, unplugged and with the basket removed, for at least 45-60 minutes to reach room temperature.
- Ensure the air inlet at the back and the exhaust vent on top are completely clear of any debris, grease, or obstruction.
- Plug the unit back in, reinsert the empty basket, and attempt a normal startup. The E3 code should clear if the overheat condition was temporary.
If That Didn't Work
If the E3 error persists after a full cool-down, the issue is likely a faulty component. Possible causes include a malfunctioning temperature sensor, a damaged heating element, or a problem with the main control board. At this point, do not attempt further disassembly or use. You must contact Cosori Customer Support for warranty service or authorized repair, as these internal parts are not user-serviceable.

To prevent future E3 errors, always maintain at least 5 inches of clearance on all sides, especially behind and above the unit, for proper airflow. Avoid cooking excessively greasy foods without the drip tray, and never cover the top vent or operate the air fryer in an enclosed space like a crowded countertop corner.
