DIAGNOSIS The freezing cycle is being interrupted, usually because the room or water temperature is too high.
FIX Move the ice maker to a cooler location, away from direct sunlight or heat sources like an oven. Ensure you're using cold tap water to fill it, not room-temperature or warm water. Give it 10-15 minutes to adjust after moving.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The unit may be low on refrigerant due to a leak—this is a less common but serious issue. If the machine is in a cool room with cold water and still makes slush after a full reset (unplug for 10 mins), it likely needs professional service.
HEADS UP This model performs best in ambient temperatures below 80°F (27°C). In a hot garage or next to a window, it will struggle to form solid cubes.
