breez plus keeps disconnecting from wifi, have to reboot it constantly to get it back online

Quick answer: This is typically a Wi-Fi signal strength or router compatibility issue. The Breez Plus requires a stable 2.4 GHz network connection.

Diagnosis

This is typically a Wi-Fi signal strength or router compatibility issue. The Breez Plus requires a stable 2.4 GHz network connection.

How to Fix It

Check the signal strength in the Cielo Home app. Navigate to Device Info. The RSSI value should be better than -70 dBm. If weaker, relocate your router or use a Wi-Fi extender. Ensure the router's 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks have distinct SSIDs. The Breez Plus will fail to connect if they are merged under a single name. Reboot your router. Then, on the Breez Plus, perform a hard reset of Wi-Fi: hold the 'Wi-Fi' and 'Menu' buttons for 5 seconds until the Wi-Fi icon flashes. Re-pair in the app.

If That Didn't Work

Certain router security protocols can cause drops. In your router settings, set the 2.4 GHz band to use WPA2-PSK (AES) encryption. Disable 'AP Isolation' or 'Client Isolation' features for that band.

Heads Up

The Breez Plus does not support WPA3. If your router is set to WPA2/WPA3 mixed mode, force it to WPA2 only for the 2.4 GHz network.
