unit is making a loud continuous beeping sound, can't make it stop

— asked by Morgan

Quick answer: A continuous beep indicates a hardware or sensor fault. The most common cause is the built-in temperature/humidity sensor failing or providing an invalid reading.

Diagnosis

A continuous beep indicates a hardware or sensor fault. The most common cause is the built-in temperature/humidity sensor failing or providing an invalid reading.

How to Fix It

Immediately disconnect the Breez Plus from the wall outlet. Wait 30 seconds. Plug it back in. The beeping should stop after the boot sequence. Once powered, check the displayed room temperature and humidity on the screen. If it shows '--' or an implausible value (e.g., 0°F or 99% RH), the sensor is faulty.

If That Didn't Work

If the beeping resumes after the reboot, a critical internal component has failed. This requires manufacturer support. Contact Cielo with your device's serial number (found on the back label and in the app's Device Info screen).

Heads Up

Do not cover the vents on the top or sides of the Breez Plus. Blocking airflow can cause the internal sensor to overheat and malfunction, potentially triggering this alarm.
